CARLOS SLIM'S ELEVATOR

Elevator

From my research, the shape that i think it is the most successful and powerful is cube. Therefore, I decided to construct Carlos's elevator based on the idea no. 1, 3 and 6. I put emphasis on the simple shape which has a sense of strong and stable.

Carlos Slim's elevator starts from the top of lighthouse which is connected to his office.

The elevator goes down from the top of the lighthouse to the bottom. The bottom of the lighthouse is connected to open ceiling pathway. The open ceiling pathway also represents his personality, philanthropist.


The long pathway suggests the continual success of Carlos Slim.

ZHANG YIN'S ELEVATOR

Elevator

The elevator's skin is like jigsaw. It symbolises Zhang Yin's life which is not totally perfect. There were many difficulties through her life. However, this jigsaw will be completed and she becomes the richest woman of the world.

Elevator&Pathway

The elevator goes from the bottom of the lighthouse to the top and then goes horizontally along the bridge before going to working lunch space. The pathway implys Zhang Yin's life that comes from the modest background family and then becomes the richest woman in the world. At the beginning of her life, she was unknown person. This represents by the close space of the lighthouse pathway.
